Bermudian house and roof

Bermuda is a beautiful and unique country which made finding something which exemplified it fairly easy. When I talk to people about Bermuda they often have some misconceptions about it. Yes, it is one of the points on the infamous Bermuda Triangle, but it is the northern point, putting it in the mid-Atlantic, not the Caribbean. Thanks to ocean currents though, it is much warmer than other places at a similar latitude. One important point of Bermuda is that it has no natural body of fresh water. As such water is obtained through rainwater collection from the roofs of people's houses. This is then stored in tanks. The white, stepped roofs are iconic of Bermuda. Their shape and construction is designed to minimize damage in the high winds of a hurricane and the paint is treated with a fungicide. All told, a very representative part of Bermuda.
